Can EFT Help With Money Blocks ?
Emotional Freedom Technique-The Almost Perfect Therapy

First-What are emotional blocks? In my interpretation, they are fearful emotions that keep us stuck, and are directly associated with our limiting beliefs.

Let's look at what some limiting beliefs about money might be:
The rich get richer and the middle class stays where they are
People with a lot of money are greedy and take advantage of others
If I make a lot of money people will think I am shallow
Money separates you from people and makes you snobby
You have to work very hard to make good money
I don't have any real talent or skills
I don't know what's wrong, I just can't seem to get ahead
I am undisciplined with money
I am not confident enough with sales (or what ever)
I can't seem to find a job where I fit and the pay is decent
Everyone knows your job isn't something you love, you do it to pay your bills

You get the idea, right? So, what is a belief and how do we get them? A belief is a thought we have been conditioned to accept as truth through repetition in some form. So how do we delete unwanted conditioning and install desired conditioning? Well, the experience you "interpret" as negative, creates adverse conditioning in ones mind and body, so you really do want to be free of it, but you don't want it to take forever.

Do you believe you can have emotional blocks to money?
Do you believe you can have a financial set point (inner thermostat) to which you default back to?
Does your checking account usually hover around the same amount after you pay your bills regardless of how much you make?
What is your internal financial thermostat set at and how can you raise it?

It doesn't matter how it got that way, the truth is no one really cares once they realize we all have a financial set point, a number which you default back to no matter what you make, regardless of raises or side jobs.

Do you want to spend years in therapy trying to figure out why you can't seem to get out of your own way or get ahead?

HELL NO! I just want to raise my set point (financial or creative) to where I want it to be, and be done with it.
Take this article for instance, I was suffering from writers block and my deadline is approaching. I knew I wanted to write about something productive and helpful to anyone who read it. That's why I chose to talk about MONEY, and EFT helped clear me of those limiting beliefs so this article could flow through me.

I am sharing this information with you in hope that it may help you to recognize where you may be in a pattern of limitation, and this may be something that could apply easily to help you get unstuck.
Will this information help you? I don't know, that depends on if you apply it.
It's like antibiotic ointment for a skinned knee, it may heal quicker if you apply it to the wound, or it may not help at all, but if you leave it in the tube you'll never know.

So let's get to the meat and potatoes of this information:
Do most of us have emotional blocks to money that can be dissolved, and thus begin to experience the life you only dare to dream about? In my opinion, the answer is yes.

What do you suppose Donald Trump's financial set point is? If you want to raise yours to that level, I am not going to say it can be done overnight, but it absolutely can be done. So cheer up.

One relatively simple and painless way to dissolve blocks to anything, money, writing, golf scores, sales, etc, is Emotional Freedom Technique. EFT is an energetic application based on the ages old modality of acupuncture, but there are no needles or physical pain, or seemingly endless therapeutic sessions in which you must stew in your past reliving trauma, abuse, or whatever created your blocks to begin with. I admit I have been on both ends of that, and the frustration was that if I did experience movement forward, it wasn't much, and I always seemed to default back to my previous behavior.

Do you care if your self sabotage is conscious or unconsciousness? Not me, I just want to stop doing it, especially after I realized I didn't need to understand it to stop. That was a gift in itself!

Soooo... how does it work and can anyone do it?

According to Gary Craig, the founder of EFT, our body-mind system is like a computer with all it's internal intricacies. If you took a big screwdriver and stuck it inside and touched different parts, you would probably begin to see all kinds of error messages pop up on your monitor, but because your computer runs on a program that is designed to perform a certain way, when you remove the screwdriver and restart it, it would default back to its original behavior or program and you could successfully continue your work.

Now, here is the 50 million dollar question, does a computer experience emotion when its energetic system becomes disrupted? Of course not, but ours does.
When our energy system gets disrupted by what we interpret as a negative experience, we attach an emotion to it, which then becomes the deciding factor on how we respond internally to similar future situations.

Ever hear of Pavlov's famous dog experiment? He designed an experiment to prove that conditioned stimuli can determine behavior in dogs through association, thus we can equate that to pretty much any living creature. Fear is normally what humans have chosen to experiment with to control our behavior, thus creating specific behavioral set points which we will not question or cross. Like children in a classroom for example.

We will only push the mark so far and then default back to what feels familiar or safe, without question.
EFT works by dissolving the emotion associated with a belief that keeps us stuck.

Take fear of public speaking for example, what makes some fearful and not others? Maybe this person as a child had to read a class report and was shy, when they were in front of the class the teacher kept telling them to speak up, and then told he had to work on his presentation skills and received a poor grade. What message might the child receive from this? Possibly that their presentation wasn't good enough.
So now as an adult having to give a presentation, would you agree that the emotion attached to that memory might cause a future problem? How might the fear express itself? Pounding heart, anxiety, sweaty palms, pending feelings of embarrassment and shame and knowing they were probably not going to do a good job, resulting in an unclear delivery of information, and beating yourself up because you cant get out of your own way, and blah, blah, blah.

OK-let's take a breath and come back to center, but I will bet the thought of that scene started to stir emotion in you because we all do it over something. Suppose you had a presentation to deliver and this was your normal experience, and you could be led through a simple series of exercises that consisted of tapping certain points on your body while tuning in to a certain fear. Let's say the fear is " I always look like a beginner giving my first presentation." Just the thought of having to deliver this presentation begins to stir fearful emotion in your body, and you begin to pray for a sore throat or better yet the flu, because the emotion attached feels as scary as a life sentence.
Suppose you could free yourself from this cycle of self abuse forever, and could choose peace instead of this?
Imagine you walk to the front of the room to give a presentation, in the audience sits your supervisor, the president of the company, and about 20 of your piers. You feel relaxed and confident, even a little humor filled knowing this will lighten the work day. You didn't waste a lot of energy in fear, instead your energy is used to connect with others in a positive and inspirational way.

OK..Here it is..on the original website for Gary Craig and EFT, which is www.emofree.com, you can download the original study guide for free, sign up for their newsletter where you will find lots of answers to your questions, (like can it improve my golf score, and that is a yes by the way), become acquainted with lots of other EFT Practitioners like me, see the free amazing video on how EFT works in a very short amount of time. Running on automatic or inspiration?

Excerpt from "The Nature Of Life",
by Jeffrey Brownstein.

I realize that the limiting beliefs I perceive as "truth" are simply my attachment to the past. Who I've been before plays no role in who I can be right now.

Sometimes it's hard to believe in yourself, I think it's because we have a tendency to over complicate things, and believe we have to have all the pieces of the puzzle in place to achieve our dreams right now. Isn't that the old saying? "You have to map it out step by step and just follow the map."
Just keep it simple. Whatever you desire, just go as far as you can see, and when you get there, the next step will be revealed to you. In my experience, the journey never goes as planned. So keep your eye on the goal, but don't be attached to a specific way to achieve it. You will be surprised at what shows up to help guide your way.
If you can't see how it's going to happen, and begin to focus on that, this type of thinking will create anxiety, or negative emotion, which produces more thoughts like that, and you will only create misery in your mind from that point of reference. How will this mindset serve the creation of your dreams? You have no motivation to move forward when in this state of mind or being.
Instead, focus on taking inspired action. It feels different then action taken from a place of fear. Trust that life will point you in the direction you need to go.
We have grown into a society that focuses on instant gratification, and it has become a habit. Like biting your nails, you don't think about it, you just find your hand in your mouth. We have become accustomed to living our lives running on automatic. And our thinking is pretty much the same way.
Of course we want everything now,we have 30 minute lunch breaks, fast food, fast cars, advertisements that create a sense of urgency to keep up with the Jones's, and the list goes on.
Our minds are so occupied with drama, it's a wonder we can focus on anything! Life seems to fly by in a buzz of distraction, and as long as we are in a state of distraction, our dreams will be pushed by the wayside, and we've all been there!
Ask yourself,"What's really important?" and give yourself permission to set time aside to focus on that. If you don't, in the end you will feel resentful that you allowed life's distractions to use up your life, without ever really feeling like it meant anything. Don't be afraid to put yourself first, unconditional love always starts with you loving you. You can't pour wine from an empty vessel.
Let me ask you, would you rather be distracted by life or moved by it?
I want to be moved by it, make a contribution to it, and assist others in changing their lives.
Don't worry about fitting in, being politically correct, or being acceptable in the eyes of others, they will never experience the consequences of your choices-only you will. This is your life-live it!
I used to teach a dance class, and I told my students there is a difference between dancing for the approval of others, or finding your dance and sharing it with others, only one is your authentic self, the expression of your signature frequency, the part of you that is as individual as your thumbprint. And, only one will mesmerize the crowd to applause!

Message from my soul group teachers:
One of my favorite movies was The Wizard of Oz, so my guides used it in this analogy when I felt stuck:
If Dorothy knew how to use the ruby slippers in the beginning of her journey, would she still have chosen to face the witch and taken back her power? Where within yourself are you not believing you can overcome your fear of failure? Your unconscious beliefs are the wicked witch inside, it is the inner critic, but this aspect within you does not seek to lead you in love, but hold you hostage in fear. It doesn't want you to try fearing the shame of failure. You must earn the gift of the "Ruby Slippers" by empowering yourself-for that is what activates them. The gift of the slippers is confidence in yourself, that you can overcome any fear, because fear is a projection from within mirrored back to you by an outpicturing. Every setback you see is in you.
