The Law of Attraction

What is it and how does it work?

Before we start it’s important to know that you can not break these laws, it’s like the law of gravity, it is a natural occurrence that works along with a lot of other cause and effect factors, and applies to everyone.

The simplest definition of this law is "like attracts like." You get what you think about, whether wanted or unwanted, because The Law of Attraction is neutral.

"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." Proverbs 23:7

Lets look at this statement for a minute, what does it mean to think in your heart?

My interpretation of it is to think about something from a state of love or joy. Think about something you’re really grateful for, how does that feel? My friend absolutely loves to run at the beach, she calls it hydro therapy, lets use our imagination and join her, shall we?

Think about feeling the sun warm on your skin as it slowly sinks towards the horizon, the beauty of the coming sunset with red, orange and pink against the blue sky, beckoning your eyes to watch, overtaking your very being as you witness the grandeur of nature. A feeling of gratitude comes forth from within, and you realize how effected you are by the natural dance created between the earth and sun. The salty scent of the ocean stirring through the breeze as it gently moves against your body, cooling your perspiring skin. The sound of waves rolling up on the beach, moist sand beneath your bare feet, soft and giving to every step you take. The experience of being there puts you in an altered state of consciousness, “a state of gratitude just to be alive.”

When we are in this state of mind we align with the natural flow of our life, with no resistance, and this is what it means to go with the flow. Any of this starting to make sense? When you want to create a new experience in your life “intentionally”, you need to focus your thoughts on it while in the state of mind we just created here in the above example. A state with no resistance or judgment.

There are two ways to experience life, one is on purpose, and the other is letting it happen to you, where you believe you had no part in the creation of the experience. So what does our state of mind have to do with anything? Only everything!

Have you ever heard the expression,” your mind is your tool not your master, but if you don’t know it, what a cruel master it will be!” Imagine your head is a radio tower, and the thoughts you think are like radio signals. Each radio station has its own channel or frequency that the signals travel along, and they attract listeners that are interested in those signals. For instance if you like country music like me, you tune in to a country station on a “specific channel.” No matter how many channels there are, I will find the country station. Like attracts like. If there is a country station and a person who resonates to country music, they will find each other! Therefore, I intentionally created that experience for myself, would you agree?

Well, our thoughts work the same way. Thoughts are electrical impulses which travel along a channel or frequency.
